§ 34-5. Injuring public property prohibited.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person to injure, deface or tarnish any public building, or any property belonging to the village, or any well, pump, fence, tree, lamppost or lamp, or any useful or ornamental public work or improvement in the village, either by besmearing the same with paint, tar, mud, oil, grease, or by throwing stones, or in any other manner, or to aid, abet or assist therein.
